Broward College to Host Events to Commemorate Women's History Month

Broward College will celebrate Women's History Month with a series of events throughout the month of March at its North and Central campuses. The events are free and open to the public. Events taking place at Broward College include:

The Student Life Department will host a panel of Broward College professionals, including Natalie Justice, manager, Tigertail Lake Recreational Center; Alice Murillo, dean, University/College Library; Ana Price, program manager, Continuing Education; and Trish Joyce, professor of English, to discuss the contributions of women in the community. Celebrating Women of Character, Courage and Commitment Panel Discussion
Monday, March 24, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Building 46, Room 152

This panel discussion and luncheon will honor the extraordinary and often unrecognized determination and tenacity of women. Against social convention and often legal restraints, women have created a legacy that expands the frontiers of possibility for generations to come. Guest speakers include Quakish Liner, professor of reading; Terri Justice, dean of academic resources; Melinda Shoemaker, professor of psychology; and Gisella Segarra, Broward College alumnae.
