Broward College Student Receives Prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship

paul harvelHonors Student Paul Harvel is Broward College's 13th recipient of the nation's most competitive and prestigious scholarship, the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to the most outstanding community college students, allowing them to complete their bachelor's degrees at an accredited four-year college or university. This year, 85 scholars were selected from 3,705 applicants from 737 community colleges.

Broward College also honored outstanding academic achievement by students at the Robert "Bob" Elmore Honors College Convocation Ceremony last month.

"The Honors Convocation gives students the chance to be recognized for their special accomplishments", said Dr. Tai Houser, Honors College director.
