Broward College Narrows Search for New President to Five Finalists

Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 13, 2018) – The Broward College President Search Committee announced the names of five finalists under consideration for the position of President when current President J. David Armstrong, Jr. transitions to the role of president emeritus on June 30, 2018.
The five finalists, selected from a pool of 22 local, state and national applicants, are:
- Cliff Davis, President, Table Rock Campus and Vice Chancellor of the System, Ozarks Technical Community College
- Greg Haile, General Counsel and Vice President for Public Policy and Government Affairs, Broward College
- Madeline M. Pumariega, Chancellor, Florida College System
- Dr. Christopher Reber, President, Community College of Beaver County
- Elliot Stern, Vice President of Instruction, Lake Washington Institute of Technology
The Broward College Board of Trustees will conduct follow-up interviews with each finalist, with campus visits and meetings to be scheduled for the first and second week of May. The new president, the seventh in the history of the College, is expected to assume office during summer 2018 and will report to a five-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Governor.
