Two Broward College Administrators Selected for Leadership Florida’s New Cornerstone and Connect

Executive Director, Dr. Mildred Coyne invited into Leadership Florida's Cornerstone XXXVII and Associate Dean Henry Mack joins Connect Class IX
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (August 13, 2018) – Leadership Florida has chosen two Broward College Administrators to participate it its prestigious classes and annual programs.
Dr. Mildred Coyne, who has served as the Executive Director of Workforce Education & Economic Development at the College for the past five years, was admitted into Leadership Florida Cornerstone XXXVII. In addition, Henry Mack will join Leadership Florida Connect Class IX. Mack, who joined the College in 2014, is an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the Arts, Humanities, Communication and Design Pathway.
"As a Leadership Florida alum, I can attest to its focus on leveraging the state's greatest minds and hearts to continually enhance the great State of Florida," said Broward College President Gregory Haile, who also serves on Leadership Florida's board of directors as governance chair. "Broward College is extremely proud of Mildred and Henry. We are honored they will be representing us among the state's most dynamic leaders."
Leadership Florida's new Cornerstone class members represent a variety of professions, philosophies, and geographies across Florida's diverse population. The class will participate in an eight-month learning experience in several Florida locations. In addition, they will take part in Leadership Florida's renowned master sessions, which provide a comprehensive look at critical issues affecting the state, the opportunity to refine well-developed leadership skills via sessions with leadership experts, and relevant information on Florida's history, demography, education, environment, government, agriculture, transportation, culture, diversity, challenges and opportunities.
A statewide resource for educating, engaging and inspiring Florida's top emerging leaders, Leadership Florida's Connect program sessions give class members the opportunity to be immersed in foundational processes that guide progress in the state and be exposed to emerging issues presented by Florida's leading experts. Connect is designed to enhance a participant's understanding of Florida's history and demography while developing a network of leaders who are at the forefront of leading positive change.
