Broward College Ranked in 2020 Best Colleges Survey by U.S. News and World Report

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla (Sept. 12 2019) – The U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in education rankings, has again named Broward College as one of the top regional colleges in the South. The College was also ranked as one of the top performers on Social Mobility, which recognizes academic institutions that enroll and support students who receive Pell Grants. The rankings are as follows:

  • 65-84 in Regional Colleges South
  • 61 in Top Performers on Social Mobility (tied)

Broward College offers more than 140 areas of study, allowing students to earn technical certificates, associate degrees and bachelor's degrees. Students represent more than 150 countries of origin and speak 50 different languages, and more than half are first-generation college students.

The U.S News rankings evaluate colleges and universities across the nation on 16 measures of academic quality. They allow prospective students to compare the quality of U.S. colleges based on widely-accepted indicators of excellence, such as first-year student retention, graduation rates, and the strength of the faculty.
