FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (October 2, 2023) – Broward College is pleased to announce its achievements in the recently released 2023-2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. Demonstrating steady progress compared to previous years, Broward College has secured prominent positions in various categories such as Regional Colleges South, Top Public Schools, and Best Colleges for Veterans.

As a resource for prospective students and their families, the 2023 U.S. News & World Report determines rankings by evaluating nearly 1,500 U.S. institutions on as many as 19 measures. These measures are assessed, normalized, and weighted to calculate each school's overall score, with changes from the previous edition noted.

Broward College’s 2023-2024 rankings are as follows:

#47 in Best Southern Regional Colleges (previously #54 in 2022 ranking)

#36 in Top Performers on Social Mobility Among Southern Regional Colleges (tie)

#14 in Top Public Schools Among Southern Regional Colleges (tie)

#10 in Best Colleges for Veterans Among Southern Regional Colleges (tie)

The rankings methodology utilizes a comprehensive set of measuring qualities – encompassing various indicators of student success, including graduation rates, retention rates, student debt, and social mobility.
