WHEN:
8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 22

WHY:
New year, new you.

This is a refrain that is heard around the globe each year when the calendar flips to January 1. For some, that “new me” approach starts with an assessment of their mental health. For others, they face the stigma that surrounds the issue of mental health.

This symposium is designed to provide information to help break through the stigma so people can enhance their mental health. The symposium – “Connecting Beyond the Stigma” – will cover a variety of topics, including increasing awareness of the mental health stigma, understanding cultural barriers and developing empathy and advocacy skills.

The event is free and open to the public, and light snacks and refreshments will be available (while supplies last). Interested parties must register ONLINE, where you can also view the full agenda and guest speaker lineup (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/new-date-second-annual-broward-college-mental-health-symposium-tickets-1087152294779?aff=oddtdtcreator)
