Broward College and the South Florida Education Center are Hosting a Free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expo

Event is Open to Current and Prospective Students and the General Public

DAVIE, Fla. – Artificial Intelligence, better known as AI, isn’t the future – it's already here, and Broward College is taking full advantage of the possibilities it offers.

That’s why the College is teaming up with South Florida Education Center partners for the Artificial Intelligence Vocational, Instructional and Business Expo (AI V.I.B.E.), scheduled for Friday, March 14 at its A. Hugh Adams Central Campus, 3501 Davie Rd., Davie.

The Expo, which is free, is divided into two sessions:

  • Morning session (9 a.m. - 12 p.m.), which is designed for current and prospective students at Broward College’s Bailey Hall
  • Afternoon session (12:30 – 3 p.m.), which is open to the public at the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Liberal Arts Building (49), located at 3200 College Ave.

Those interested in attending the expo must register online at https://bit.ly/sfecvibe.

The expo will bring together students, educators and industry leaders to discuss AI in the workplace. Broward College is preparing students for AI by integrating it into multiple degree programs in the Science, Technology Engineering & Math Pathway.

AI tools have been powering everyday services for years, such as digital assistants, search engines and photo editing software. AI V.I.B.E. offers an opportunity to see where innovation is heading next and how it can help both in the classroom and in our lives.

Special guests tentatively scheduled to attend include representatives from the Town of Davie; Steven Geller, Broward County commissioner; and Gregg Weiss, Palm Beach County commissioner. Some of the participating businesses include Craven Thompson and Associates, HCA Florida Healthcare and the Better Business Bureau.

Other participating organizations, who are part of the South Florida Education Center (SFEC), include FAU, the University of Florida/IFAS, McFatter Technical College and High School, Nova Southeastern University, the Town of Davie and Broward County Public Schools.
