Dental Sealant Day workDAVIE, Fla. - On March 26, the Broward College Dental Clinic hosted their Annual Dental Sealant Day at the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. This event provided 16 children of Broward College employees, ages 5-20, with vital free dental care, including 16 dental screenings, 138 protective sealants and 16 fluoride treatments. But it was more than just free dental care; it was a powerful learning experience.

This initiative offered students an important opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a practical setting. Under the supervision of licensed dental professionals, they gained valuable experience in patient care, public health outreach, and the precise application of dental sealants and fluoride.

The generosity of dental suppliers ensured the event's success, providing all necessary materials. The positive feedback from participants reinforces the importance of such programs in promoting accessible dental care and fostering professional development. Broward College remains committed to providing its students with hands-on learning experiences that contribute to both their success and the well-being of the community.
