FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Members of the Sigma Iota Xi at-large chapter recently donated time and supplies to help unhoused people in Broward County.

The local chapter of the SIGMA International Honor Society of Nursing includes nursing students from both Broward College and Florida Atlantic University. Chapter members donated items that were then assembled into kits for the Caring Place/Miami Rescue Mission/Broward Outreach located in Hollywood.

These kits included vital items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and soap. In addition to hygiene products, the at-large chapter also donated socks, washcloths, and pull-ups items often overlooked but deeply appreciated by recipients.

This effort reflects the chapter's ongoing commitment to service and making a tangible difference in the lives of the underserved.
