New Broward College Students Celebrated at First Flight Event
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Transitioning from high school to college is a big step, but Broward College helped nearly 800 new students celebrate this milestone at the recent First Flight event.
The 2025 First Flight event took place across two days - the first online and the second in the gym at the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie. This longstanding tradition marks the beginning of students' college experience and helps ease the transition from high school by introducing them to academic support, student clubs, and classroom expectations. They met faculty and fellow students, discovered ways to get involved on campus, and gained the tools they need to thrive in this new chapter.
President Alston also joined to welcome our newest Seahawks and share a message of encouragement. Broward College is proud to be part of the journey as they take flight toward academic success and new opportunities.
