FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The next chapter in Broward College’s story begins this week with the dual celebrations of the College’s 66th anniversary and the investiture ceremony of President Torey Alston.

The College’s anniversary will be the focus of a birthday-themed event with President Alston and students on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Treats will be provided at celebrations on each campus:

  • North Campus - 10 - 11 a.m., Bldg. 46/Breezeway
  • A. Hugh Adams Central Campus - 12:15 - 1:15 p.m., 
Bldg. 19 – Patio
  • Judson A. Samuels South Campus - 2- 3 p.m., Southern Breezeway

On Thursday, Sept. 4, President Alston will host a special appreciation event to recognize the dedication and contributions of the College’s faculty and staff.

The main event this Friday, Sept. 5, is President Alston’s investiture ceremony. It takes place from 1 – 3 p.m. at Bailey Hall on Central Campus. Due to space limitations, watch parties will be hosted at each campus. Refreshments will be served during the watch parties, located at:

  • North Campus, Bldg. 46, Room 152

  • Central Campus, Bldg. 19, Room 104

  • South Campus, Bldg. 66, Room 139
