FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A group of Broward College students recently had their work on display – but not in a traditional gallery.

Last spring, representatives from Business for the Arts Broward (BFA) visited the Rosemary Duffy Larson Gallery at the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie to view a student exhibition. The organization’s mission is to connect Broward businesses to the arts community to build connections and increase cultural vitality and economic development.

After viewing the exhibition, BFA awarded a $1,000 scholarship to student Eden Vega, according to Angel Clyman, an assistant professor of art. Clyman said the BFA representatives were so impressed by the quality of the student artwork that they wanted to display the entire exhibit at their headquarters, located in the BBX Capital offices in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The student artwork was on display from mid-July to mid-August.

"It was a great opportunity for student work to be viewed by new audiences,” Clyman said.
