PLANTATION, Fla. - Golfers will hit the greens April 27 at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club for the 38th Annual Broward College Golf Classic to benefit students.

The tournament begins at 9 a.m. at the country club, located at 415 E. Country Club Circle, in Plantation. In its long history, the Golf Classic has raised more than $3 million for scholarships and program support. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the First Generation in College Scholarship.

“The scholarship fund helps many Broward County students advance their education and careers,” said Terry Mularkey, Vice President of Institutional Advancement and CEO of the Broward College Foundation.

Mularkey pointed to the state’s two-to-one match as a way for sponsors and golfers to have a larger impact. The 2025 Golf Classic, with the same matching in place, raised more than $100,000.

The day will open with breakfast, followed by a shotgun start across the course. After returning from the course, golfers will attend a cocktail reception, lunch, and a silent and live auction, rounded out by an awards presentation.

Mularkey praised the sponsors that have stepped up to support the College, including title sponsor Fort Lauderdale United FC, a professional women's soccer team.

"What's good for Broward College is good for Broward County," Mularkey said.
