CNN’s Candy Crowley to Speak at Broward College on the Importance of Debates in American Politics

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (October 3, 2014) – Candy Crowley, CNN’s chief political correspondent and anchor of “State of the Union with Candy Crowley,” will meet with Broward College students, faculty and staff on Friday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Broward College’s Bailey Hall, 3501 S.W. Davie Road, Davie, Building 4, to discuss the history and importance of debates in the American political process.  Media are invited to attend. In her role as chief political correspondent, Crowley covers a broad range of stories, including presidential, congressional and gubernatorial races, and major legislative developments on Capitol Hill. She has covered the presidential campaigns of Pat Buchanan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Howard Dean, Bob Dole, Jesse Jackson, Edward Kennedy, John Kerry, Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan, among others. Since the presidential nomination of Jimmy Carter, Crowley has covered all but one of the national political conventions. She was also granted an exclusive sit-down interview with President George W. Bush days before he left office.
