Broward College Experts Available to Discuss Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Nov. 19, 2014) – As the year winds down and the holiday season kicks into full gear, Broward College has the following experts available to discuss what Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday means for retailers and customers, as well as the possible long-lasting economic impact:

Lisa Barnes is a professor of business and marketing. She is available to discuss customer needs and wants, strategic business planning, the persuasion of marketing and social media, and customer behavioral patterns during the holiday shopping season. Nicholas Bergen is a professor of economics. He is available to discuss the economic benefits of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, as well as how these days possibly serve as a forecast for future consumer spending. He can be reached at  nbergan@broward.edu

Jerry Schwartz is dean of partnership centers and a professor of economics. As a past chair of the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce and former small business owner, he is available to discuss the economic impact of Small Business Saturday and the possible spillover effects the holiday has on local businesses for the rest of the year.
