Broward College to Celebrate Miramar West Center’s Grand Opening

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (November 7, 2014) – Broward College will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location, the Miramar West Center, 1930 S.W. 145th Avenue, Miramar, with an official ribbon cutting on Friday, November 14 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The center is an 89,000-square-foot, LEED-certified facility, featuring classrooms, science labs, meeting spaces and student commons.

“We are excited to officially announce the opening of the Miramar West Center,” said Broward College President J. David Armstrong, Jr. “This provides students with a fantastic opportunity to pursue a variety of degree options and educational opportunities. These students will then thrive in the workplace and contribute to the South Florida community.”

Broward College’s course offerings began this fall and focus on business, supply chain management, and global trade and logistics. Several credit-for-prior learning options are also available, as well as credit by examination.

The joint-use facility is also home to a variety of Florida International University offerings, including undergraduate programs focusing on liberal arts, business and construction management, and graduate programs in business, engineering, education and public administration.
