Governor Rick Scott Reappoints John Benz to Broward College District Board of Trustees

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (Feb. 11, 2015) – Governor Rick Scott recently reappointed John Benz to the Broward College District Board of Trustees (BOT) for a three-year term. 

“It is an honor to be reappointed to the Board of Trustees,” said Benz. “I am excited to be serving in my current role as the chair of the board, and I look forward to guiding and assisting the College in its continued development.”  

Benz, who has served on the Board since 2010, has more than 25 years of experience working in various capacities for Memorial Healthcare System, and currently serves as the senior vice president and chief strategic officer. He also serves as the president/CEO of South Florida Community Care Network, a Broward community-based health plan owned by Broward Health and the Memorial Healthcare System. 

The Broward College District Board of Trustees is a five-member group of community leaders with diverse backgrounds who provide dedicated leadership to the College and its activities. As the governing board of the College, they are the stewards of Broward College’s commitment to excellence, while they guide the College and implement the goals enumerated in their mission statement. As a team, this group is fully engaged in providing a future that offers increased higher education opportunities for Broward County residents and students.
