WHC Redevelopment

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fort Lauderdale, FL (Monday, February 15, 2016) – Broward College submitted its Invitation to Negotiate for the redevelopment of its Downtown Campus, including the Willis Holcombe Center. To protect the College from outside influences, our team will not be able to discuss progress while negotiations are conducted. We anticipate announcing the development partner in September, at which time questions regarding the design and construction timeline will be welcomed.

When completed, the project will enhance the current experience by reducing the College's environmental footprint, expanding outdoor space, and providing a state-of-the-art interactive learning environment. Phase I is scheduled to begin in 2018 with the reconstruction of Building 33, followed by the consolidation of all downtown courses into its newly renovated classrooms. The process will be conducted with no disruption to your education and minimal change to daily flow.
