BROWARD COLLEGE VILLAGE SQUARE TAKE OUT TUESDAY DISCUSSION ON “GUNS, EVERYONE EVERYWHERE”
- Press Releases | 22 March 2016 | 1 min read
Tuesday, March 22 - Broward College Village Square hosted the third evening in its Take-Out Tuesday series, an informal dinner where students, peers, and influential members of the South Florida community bring their own meal and participate in a non-partisan debate. The topic, titled "Guns, Everyone Everywhere," welcomed panelists and guests to debate and express their views on gun politics, including gun control and gun rights.
The evening featured panelists Broward County Sherriff Scott Israel and Antonio Lopez, Managing Director at Access Global and President of Recusant Media. The discussion was moderated by Chief Albert "Butch" Arenal of the Coconut Creek Police and incoming president of the Police Chief Association of Florida.
The debate was presented by the Village Square Advisory Board, chaired by Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca and City of Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler. Commissioner LaMarca, together with Mario Cartaya, founder and CEO of Cartaya & Associates Architects P.A., and Adriana Fazzano, chief of staff at Broward College Office of the President, provided an introduction for the debate.
