Tickets Now on Sale for Bailey Hall-iday Special

Davie, FL (November 15, 2016) – Bailey Hall has announced a special ticket bundle this holiday season for all 16 remaining shows, delivering big savings and great value with the $175 “Bailey Hall-iday Special” on sale now through December 15.
“In what amounts to the price of a movie ticket for each event, the Bailey Hall-iday Special delivers film screenings where you actually meet the filmmaker, a journey to Mars, thrilling explorations of the music of Brazil and Colombia and celebrations of composers from Gershwin to Beethoven,” says Dr. Dan Barnard, associate dean of cultural affairs and director of Bailey Hall. “We have included events from all of our series to create a way in which, over the course of four months, someone can discover and enjoy arts from every discipline. The variety makes it a great gift for almost anyone or, at this price, for yourself.”
Film buffs will enjoy four offerings the Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers that include post-show Q&A sessions with the filmmakers: Donald Cried (January 28), Shake ‘Em on Down (February 16), Some Beasts (March 30) and Hunky Dory (April 20).
Other cinematic events are a screening of March of the Penguins LIVE with the Broward Symphony and guest conductor Jeffrey Schindler (February 25) and Nufonia Must Fall LIVE, a real-time big-screen production of a graphic novel by scratch DJ artist Kid Koala, in which the audience watches the filming of the story with puppetry and live musicians, while simultaneously enjoying the finished product on the big screen (April 6 and 7).
From the mysteries of the human heart to the wonders of outer space, the Bailey Hall-iday Special offers the Montana Repertory Theatre’s revival of the Neil Simon romantic comedy Barefoot in the Park (March 22) as well as at trip to Mars in Exploring the Red Planet with NASA Engineer Kobie Boykins (January 19).
The variety of the Bailey Hall-iday Special continues with the romance and rhythm of Brazil as Eliane Elias and her band explore the country’s musical heart and soul (Jan. 27), and the Colombian ensemble Herencia de Timbiqui combine traditional instruments such as the bombo, cununos and the guasá with energetic vocals, brass, keyboards and guitar (April 12).
The special ticket package includes acclaimed and award-winning musicians performing masterworks including works by Gershwin, Beethoven, Debussy and Schubert among others with Delray String Quartet (February 1) the Claremont Trio (February 12), Cabaret in Paris (March 2), A Musical Journey (March 19) Palm Beach Symphony (March 28) and Four-Hand Piano Works (April 27).
