The Arizona State University Alumni Association, in support of the Pat Tillman Foundation, has organized a local Tillman Honor Run. Residents are invited to participate by walking or running the 4.2-mile stretch. Money raised from the event goes to supporting the Tillman Scholars program. Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony

Broward College has hosted a Law Enforcement Memorial for more than 30 years in conjunction with the Broward County Chiefs of Police Association and the Broward County Multi-Agency Color Guard. The formal ceremony includes guest speakers and a wreath laid out in front of the Institute of Public Safety Memorial wall to honor families of fallen officers. The ceremony is open to the public. Other panelists include Earlene Striggles Horne, North Broward County chapter president and Dr. Avis Proctor, North Campus president at Broward College.
