Broward College to Host Inaugural Continuous Improvement Conference for Local Businesses

Davie, FL (May 19, 2017) – The Broward College Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness will host its inaugural Continuous Improvement Conference from Sunday, July 23 through Monday, July 25 at the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie, Fla. The event is designed to help industry professionals achieve operational and performance excellence by offering best practices, sharing expertise, and presenting successful business leaders as speakers.

Sessions will cover various project management and institutional effectiveness topics. These include implementation for process improvement, best practices in project management, fostering a kaizen/continuous improvement culture, institutional effectiveness in higher education, driving business transformation and change management.

“We are proud to welcome attendees to our first-ever improvement conference,” said Dr. Deborah Posner, associate vice president for the Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness at Broward College. “We expect attendees will leave with a wealth of practical knowledge that can be applied to a number of work environments that can enhance productivity and foster success.”

There also is an optional Lean Six Sigma White Belt workshop, a $200 value, as part of the programming. The workshop will be offered by Dr. Posner, who has presented across the country and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Additional presenters and a full schedule of sessions will be available on June 30.

The conference will begin with a welcome social event on Sunday, July 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by a day-and-a-half program on Monday, July 24 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, July 25 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Breakfast and lunch are included.
