Department of Education Names Broward College as a Top College for Hispanics

Broward College to be featured in a special issue of Hispanic Outlook Magazine

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (August 17, 2017) – Broward College has been recognized by the Department of Education as one of the leading institutions for Hispanics in the United States. The College will be highlighted in the August issue of Hispanic Outlook (HO) magazine.

"Broward College is deeply connected to the Hispanic community in South Florida and nearly 36 percent of our student body identifies with its rich cultural history," said Broward College President J. David Armstrong, Jr. "We are committed to serving our community and providing the best, and most affordable, education to a diverse population of students."

Every year HO magazine releases a Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Hispanics issue, which consists of several lists from the Department of Education. Categories for the 2017 list include Total Bachelor's Degrees Granted to Hispanics, Most Master's Degrees Granted to Hispanics, and Total Enrollment – Most Hispanics. Broward College was ranked sixteenth on the Top 100 Colleges and Universities for Total Enrollment – Most Hispanics.
