BROWARD COLLEGE’S FIRST-EVER SEAHAWK FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY BRIGHTLINE, A MAJOR SUCCESS

Fort Lauderdale, FL (April 19, 2018) – More than 1,100 Broward College students, professors and alumni attended Broward College's first-ever Seahawk Festival presented by Brightline® on Thursday, March 29. The festival, which was meant to attract the local community and new students, took place at the Broward College A. Hugh Adams Central Campus in Davie and proved to be quite the memorable experience for all in attendance.

The Festival was complete with an assortment of entertainment all day long, starting with student-led musical acts, followed by spoken word performances from members of the Omari Hardwick bluapple Poetry Network and students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students. The event culminated with performances featuring Wyclef Jean, Walshy Fire (who is a member of Major Lazer) and Miami's own IRIE.

The Broward College school spirit was in full effect with informational booths and food trucks on site. Attendees had the opportunity to not only learn about the impressive college, but also enjoy the sounds of many Internationally recognized musical icons.

Wyclef Jean's performance was especially awe-inspiring to many, as he lifted the crowd with motivation on the importance of education, invited students to dance with him on stage, and extended his performance due to the enthusiastic crowd.

The event was presented by Brightline® and sponsored by Landshark, Brainfuse, the Miami Dolphins, Intellus Learning, and MADD.
