Priscilla Suarez currently serves as Interim Vice Provost of Academic Services and Learning Resources. In this role, she provides general leadership for Broward College’s South Campus and academic leadership and strategic visioning for departments that support student and faculty success collegewide. These areas include the Center for Teaching Excellence and Learning (CTEL), Broward College Libraries, Academic Success Centers, Testing and Assessment, BC Honors College, Dual Enrollment, and transfer and articulation services. Prior to this, Mrs. Suarez was Dean of Online Campus and e-Learning at Broward College, where she provided collegewide leadership to support the integration of emerging technologies in teaching and learning. She has successfully managed large-scale projects for multiple modalities, including the launch of Online Live, a multimillion-dollar course development project to increase student access to postsecondary education, and the implementation of a new syllabus management system. In her commitment to promoting Broward College as a nationally recognized leader in teaching and learning, she regularly engages and partners with her Academic Affairs colleagues, other Florida College System (FCS) institutions, and external stakeholders.
Mrs. Suarez holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Barry University and has completed coursework toward a Master of Arts in English at Southern New Hampshire University. She also serves on the board of directors for Firewall Centers, a non-profit organization that supports student achievement and access through mentoring and tutoring services. Her passion for higher education fuels her commitment to create spaces where students and faculty can thrive.
