Scott Miller has been an administrator at Broward College for the past fifteen years. He has held the position of Dean of Arts, Humanities and Design for the past eight years. Prior to Broward College, he was Dean of Academic Affairs at Digital Media Arts College. He began his academic career as Assistant Professor of Printmaking at the University of Alabama.
Mr. Miller holds his MFA in Printmaking from the University of Florida (1995). As a printmaker his works are in corporate and university collections throughout the southeast. He has shown his print work nationally and internationally. Additionally, his prints may be found in The Best of Printmaking – An International Collection by Lynne Allen (1997).
He has served on the South Florida regional board of the Advertising Federation and on the Design Review Board for the University of California San Diego. He currently serves as a board member of Business for the Arts, Broward County, and as a member of the Public Art & Design Review Committee for the Broward Cultural Commission.
Outside of the academic art and design arena, Mr. Miller has been a competitive canoeist for the past 35 years. He was a member of the United States National Dragon Boat Team (twice) in Kunming, China (2017) and in Pattaya, Thailand (2019). In Thailand he was also Assistant Coach and Small Boat Team Captain. Crews with which Mr. Miller was affiliated scored two silver and nine bronze medals over the course of two IDBF World Championships.
